The Itinerary

Today is packed full of water-based fun. Duck dive into the day with sumptuous seafood, a boat ride and incredible views. There’s a lot to fall in love with around Brooklyn, Hawkesbury River and Cheero Point. So get going.

King Tide Cafe

Come by car, boat or train. Sit on the expansive deck and enjoy breakfast over the water. Fresh seafood grills and coffee all day. Located right next door to your next exciting experience.

The Riverboat Postman

How do secluded islands get their mail? Board the Hawkesbury River Mail Boat and find out. 3-hour cruise departs at 10am. Includes percolated coffee and homemade biscuits. Lunch is also served.

Lifeboat Seafood

We know you’ve already eaten, but who can say no to fresh seafood? Grab some crispy battered fish, juicy prawns and finish with an ice-cold beer or wine. Enjoy the views while you’re at it.

With spectacular views of the boats on the River, this is a great place for an afternoon with the kids. It has a large fenced playground, a swimming area, electric BBQ’s and more.

This is the perfect spot to look out over the Hawkesbury, with its brand-new walking paths, sandstone seating walls and bench seats.

Natural light fills this contemporary, restaurant and bar. Enjoy elegant Australian seafood with spectacular waterfront views overlooking the Hawkesbury River. Seasonal, simple and fresh.

Settle into this beautiful waterfront cottage with 180-degree water views down the river. Easy road and water access to the quiet and friendly Cheero Point riverside settlement.

Spend the afternoon in the water with a dip in the therapy pool and spa. There’s even a café, sauna, steam room and 24-hour fitness centre.

Lunch, brunch, whatever your fancy. You’ll love this local legend, just across from Terrigal beach. Menus are seasonal and use produce from local farms. Serious coffee by Sydney roasters Single O.

Central Coast Reef & Game Fishing Charters

Your reef and game fishing boat departs from Terrigal. Get on deck and learn how to catch sportfish and saltwater species. Licenses are covered so you don’t need to worry about providing one.

Stretch your legs with an easy walk. This headland is a great spot to watch the sunset and take in the amazing views over the sandy beaches and tranquil landscape.

Learn to scuba dive with the experts. Explore HMAS Adelaide, the largest warship off the NSW coast. This huge vessel is a purposely-scuttled diver recreation area with artificial reef.

Pop next door for an afternoon dip. Home of the leading swimming and fitness facility in the region, including 3 pools and Babies Aqua Play. Try their Aqua Fitness class for a change of pace.

This is the local hotspot where whale watchers and surfers come in droves. A fantastic place for a photo opportunity or picnic at any time of year. Look up and spot a hang glider in the sky.

Everyone’s favourite seafood restaurant has an award to prove it. Enjoy seaside dining and attention to detail. Spot whales or dolphins as you dine under the moonlight.

Cool down with a classic gelato or Italian ice cream at the Central Coast’s premium gelateria. Scooping up incredible combinations you wouldn’t normally imagine. You’ll be back for more.

Central Coast Holiday Parks – Toowoon Bay

The perfect family getaway. Toowoon Bay has a great mix of sand, surf and shade close to The Entrance. It’s got everything you need, with the added bonus of being pet friendly.

Take a dip

Pristine waters, unforgettable views and succulent seafood are just some of what to expect today. You’ll be blown away by some of the treats on offer as you explore Norah Head, The Entrance and Long Jetty.

The Rockpool

Wake up with a fresh dip before breakfast. The clear waters around Norah Head Lighthouse will prep you for an awesome day ahead. Catch the sunrise while you’re at it.

The Ark Cafe

This beachside café serves tantalizing food and Campos coffee, opposite a wonderful park and picnic area. If you’d prefer an ocean vista, Soldiers Beach is just down the road.

Norah Head Lighthouse

Book a guided tour and climb the 96 stairs to enjoy 360-degree views or stay the night and live like a real-life lighthouse keeper. Tour times are 10am to 1.30pm, 7  days a week. Fees apply.

Big Tuna Fish Co.

Head south and feast on delicious fresh seafood or enjoy takeaway at the Picnic Point Reserve and watch the skaters at the Entrance Skate Park. Your next adventure is right next door.

Pelican Feeding at The Entrance

Arrive early for the famous 3.30pm pelican feeding at Pelican Plaza. Originally begun by a local fish and chip shop over 20 years ago. This tradition keeps the birds full 365 days a year.

Get your sombrero out for a tipple. This modern Mexican restaurant is located on the Long Jetty. Intimate setting, perfect for a pre-dinner margarita. Ole!

Dine with locals in this restored, heritage-listed, guesthouse-turned-restaurant. Expect succulent lamb on the menu with prosecco on tap. Keep an eye on the daily specials board.
