It's been ten years since the Patonga Sports and Community Club first considered staging a mini festival of quality blues entertainment on a Saturday afternoon in November at a venue only accessible by boat!

They approached the venture with trepidation and misgivings, not knowing how they were going to sell enough tickets to cover the costs of staging such an ambitious event. But they ploughed on, and that first year was a giant learning curve for all club members involved in the organisation – and surprisingly a wonderful success!

So ten years on and each festival has been a wonderful showcase of great blues music enjoyed by a relaxed and happy crowd of picnickers.

And yes, it is on again and organisers think this will be an anniversary event to eclipse the others! As usual tickets are limited and that's the way they like it – just enough people to have a terrific time in peace and harmony!

The lineup:

The Layabouts – a Sydney based band first formed in the 1970's and now reforming for Patonga Blues Across the Bay

The Bondi Cigars – iconic Sydney based band who have been around forever – a really tight unit.

John Hammond Jr. – recently inducted into the USA Blues Hall of Fame and a really hot act!
