The Spooky Men’s Chorale are packing their bags - and bikinis – leaving their native eucalyptus-infused Blue Mountains behind and heading North to the golden sands of Ettalong Beach! Wave goodbye to choirs as you know them. This one is a macho juggernaut - With sounds variously described as “sexy, powerful., impossibly gentle but unmistakably male” their repertoire ranges from Georgian drinking songs to whisper perfect ballads and a string of improbable original hits like Don’t Stand Between a Man and his Tool and Stop Scratching It… They also offer hilarious, elephantine retreatments of classics like Earth, Wind & Fire’s Boogie Wonderland and the funniest version of Abba’s Dancing Queen you are likely to witness. http://youtu.be/UNrAgbzMXOI Who says men can’t multi-task?! :: “High camp, epic folly- probably the best programming choice of the entire summer festival circuit’ - The Irish Times on the Spooky Men

Original documentary by Bob Fitzgerald from VideoSpark explores the theme of “Then & Now’’ with original stories from local residents: a mix of riveting interviews spliced with historical film footage and scenes of Ettalong Beach over the last century.
A perspective on what it was like back then, from the people who knew Ettalong almost 100 years ago juxtaposed with the people and town of Ettalong Beach today.
Tantalising true stories about the town’s past characters, the shops, the picture show, the dance hall, roller skating rink, the waterslide, the connection with Sydney’s underbelly and the devastating fire which wiped out the Ettalong Beach town. Wow! - have we uncovered some people stories! And as Shirley would say –“Get along to Ettalong Beach’s Film Festival Night!”
