Holiday fun for kids! Presented by the NSW Government

Once again, the NSW Sport & Recreation are running multiple holiday activites on the Central Coast. Summer kids camps, a range of sports and active events for all the young ones! School Holiday Horse Riding Camps

WHERE: Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures, Peats Ridge
Glenworth Valley's school holiday activity programs will be in full swing once again throughout the Summer school holidays with a range of camps and programs to choose from. The camps are a fantastic way for kids to have a great time participating in a range of fully supervised outdoor activities and meet other kids along the way. The Australian Reptile Park are hosting a workshop this coming school holidays, offering exclusive behind the scenes access that enables kids to explore the wonders of wildlife. National Parks Discovery!

WHERE: Various national parks on the Central Coast
The National Parks and Wildlife Service Discovery Programs has great kids activities throughout the school holidays. Discover the magic of an enchanted forest, become a waterbug detective or explore the secret life of the rock platform.  These are just a few of the fantastic children’s activities available.  Join our Discovery Rangers on an exploration the local parks. Mingara Summer Holiday Junior Chess Tournament

WHEN: Monday 16 January, 11am til 4:30pm
WHERE: Mingara Recreation Club, Tumbi Umbi
A 7-round swiss format open to kids of all ages up to 17. More than a third of players will win prizes! Entry fee is $10, payable on the day. Pre-entry via glosh51@dodo.com.au or 4390 8176. Field is limited to the first 50 entrants.

Jump on a Segway!

Gosford Waterfront - Webers Circus

WHEN: various times until Sunday 22 January (Webers Circus)
WHERE: Leagues Club Field, Dane Drive (off Central Coast Hwy), Gosford
The waterfront at Gosford is a hive of activity in January as the Sea FM Gosford Waterfront Carnival and Webers Circus both come to town! The Carnival is situated on the waterfront opposite Monti's Ashore Fish & Chips and runs until Sunday 15 January - and Webers Circus is on right through til Sunday 22 January on the Leagues Club Field opposite Bluetongue Stadium.

Summer Activities at the Marine Discovery Centre

WHERE: Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre, Terrigal Dr, Terrigal

Tour Norah Head Lighthouse

WHERE: Norah Head Lighthouse
Fun, educational and inspiring; Norah Head Lighthouse Tours take just half an hour! Tours run daily between 10:00am and 1:30pm. Super Mariners Summer!

WHEN: Saturday 14 & Saturday 21 January
WHERE: Bluetongue Stadium, Gosford
The Central Coast Mariners are the region's official team in the Hyundai A-League football competition - in the current season they're undefeated in 12 straight matches and currently sit comfortably in first place! There's never been a better time to get down to Bluetongue Stadium on the beautiful Gosford Waterfront and enjoy an evening at the football. Matches have been scheduled conveniently for 5:30pm on Saturday evenings throughout January - take your pick from the local derby against rivals the Newcastle Jets on Saturday 14 January, or against Adelaide United on Saturday 21 January.
