Mt Penang Gardens is an Australian native garden where you can go wild. It has 12 different garden rooms for you to pick up some ideas for your home, or to help solve your problem garden area.

The best way to enjoy the garden is either taking a self guided tour or to get a small group of friends together and book a tour. Guided Garden Tours are a great for showing the best of Australian native plants and for showcasing unique contemporary Australian garden architecture. Tours take approximately 2 hours and involve all the senses.

Grab some "tips and techniques" for stunning garden design using water saving plants from our dedicated group of Garden Guides.

Bring your camera, umbrella and recommend visitors bring a hat, sun screen, insect repellent and water.

A Moment In Time - Heritage Tour
This tour brings to life the working days of the old Mt Penang Boys Home. This picturesque former detention centre site offers an historical trip back to 1912. A Moment in time is a step back to a previous era in which the site housed over 300 boys. The major crime could be stealing a piece of bread.

Dip, Dip, Dip Days
This is the fun filled school holiday programs designed to provide the kids with the chance to get up close and personal with the critters, which live in the water gardens at Mt Penang Gardens.

A great day of fun for the kids has been planned and it is all included with your garden entry! Children can partake in activities such as the following:

• Dip netting - catch a critter (spring & summer)
• Plant discovery walks
• Kids gardening
• Arts and crafts
• Old fashioned garden games
• Bean pod boat racing (winter)
